Round Lake 116 needed a plan for expanding their crowded high school that balanced the desire for 21st century learning spaces with a project scope the community would support with a referendum. The Fanning Howey team developed a concept that uses strategic renovations and additions to integrate LearnLab configurations in all classrooms. A business incubator lab and multimedia labs supports students with real-world experience, a Project Lead the Way lab provides project-based learning initiatives and innovative STEM labs support Next Generation Science Standards. A new central gathering stair is a highlight of the school and a favorite destination for presentations.
