River Terrace Education Campus, Washington, D.C. earns national award

River Terrace Education Campus in Washington, D.C. earned an Honorable Mention Award from School Planning & Management’s Education Design Showcase. The jury praised the design team’s creation of a “learning environment that will meet the needs of each and every student.” River Terrace is a renovated elementary school that serves students with medical complications, mobility impairments and profound intellectual disabilities. The project was designed in association with Bryant Mitchell Architects of Washington, D.C.
