Marian University – St. Vincent Athletic Complex
Phase I of the multi-phase project included the creation of an 8-lane all-weather track and soccer field with synthetic turf, expanded tennis courts and a new softball field. Phase II included a 2,500-seat football stadium, complete with concession stands, press boxes and other amenities. The expanded athletic and recreation opportunities have reenergized student life on campus, and become a symbol of the school’s growth. Given the historical significance of the site, great care was taken to blend the new facilities with the existing campus architectural vernacular.

The new athletic complex at Marian University has become a symbol of the school's growth and change, and represents a renewed investment in student life.

A gathering plaza was created to serve as a meeting place and accommodate large groups.

With the historical significance of the site, great care was taken to blend the new entry plaza and facilities with the campus architectural vernacular, giving it a sense of place and belonging.

The largest obstacle was determining where the stadium could be built. After weighing the options, it was decided that the best site was on an area comprised of a number of residential properties the school had acquired, adjacent to aging athletic facilities on the existing campus. These facilities were upgraded as part of the new athletic complex.
We are thrilled by the design and expect this multi-purpose complex to serve Marian and the wider community for many generations.
