MENTORING
As a new team member, you will be surrounded by the region’s most highly experienced team for the design of learning environments. The average Fanning Howey employee has been here for 15 years. This means that wisdom, guidance and support are never in short supply.

Fanning Howey supports professional development by providing time off for professional registration exams. And if you’re already a registered professional, our regular lunch and learns make it easy to stay current with Continuing Education requirements.
We celebrate community in many different ways. Through sponsorships, donations, scholarships and volunteer work, we make a difference both close to home and throughout the world.
60 ACTS OF GIVING BACK
2021 marked the firm’s 60th anniversary and as part of that celebration, we are committed to 60 acts of giving back throughout the year. Employees across the firm participated through various community service/volunteering opportunities in our communities, focusing heavily on giving back to school districts, learning organizations, and community development groups. We wanted to take this time to reflect on our history with the communities in which we live, work and design by giving back through acts of kindness.
Schools for Children of the World
We activity support this international organization, which builds and improves educational facilities in Central America and Africa. Our former Chairman of the Board, Dan Mader, AIA, is a member of the board of directors. Several of our team members have participated in working trips to Honduras.

Fanning Howey partnered with AIA Indiana and a local news station to design, build and install two tiny libraries for the Fletcher Place Community Center in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Each year, the firm awards a renewable four-year scholarship to a high school senior who is a child of a Fanning Howey employee. The applications are judged by volunteers from among our clients.
