Fanning Howey Hires Dan Powell as National Director of Business Development

Fanning Howey, an architecture, interiors and engineering firm specializing in learning environments, has hired Dan Powell to serve as National Director of Business Development.
Powell possesses more than 20 years of experience in the design and construction industry. He will lead efforts to grow the firm’s already significant portfolio of K-12 and higher education projects within Indiana and Ohio. He will also continue the firm’s focus on building partnerships with architecture firms throughout the country, an approach that has brought Fanning Howey’s design expertise to clients in 37 states.
“Dan has an exceptional understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing educational communities across the country,” says Zac Sprunger, Director of Marketing for Fanning Howey. “His ability to build relationships and think strategically will help our clients thrive in a constantly-changing world.”
Powell earned a Bachelor of Science from Illinois State University. He is a member of the Association for Learning Environments (A4LE), the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) and the Society for College and University Planning (SCUP).
