Teri Baker Umbarger Joins Fanning Howey as Architectural Discipline Director

Dublin, Ohio, March 24, 2025 – Fanning Howey, a nationally-recognized architecture, interiors, and engineering firm specializing in learning environments, has hired Teri Baker Umbarger, AIA, LEED AP, as Architectural Discipline Director. In her role, Umbarger oversees architecture staff across the firm’s four offices and is responsible for continually improving the way Fanning Howey delivers projects.
An award-winning architect with 39 years of experience, Umbarger has led teams and developed processes for some of the country’s most successful design firms. Her past projects include Bridge Park, a $350M mixed-use community in Dublin, Ohio, the new Karl Road and Shepard branches of the Columbus Metropolitan Libraries, and the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine in Dublin. She specializes in leading large teams and developing firm-wide processes for project delivery, design, and staffing.

Umbarger graduated with a Master of Architecture from The Ohio State University. She is a registered architect, a member of the American Institute of Architects, and a graduate of the Leadership Columbus Signature Program.
