Fanning Howey has promoted mechanical discipline director Tim Lehman, PE, to the position of Chief Engineering Officer. In his new role, Tim will lead Fanning Howey’s efforts to find smarter ways for schools and universities to enhance educational outcomes, improve sustainability and lower operating costs.
“K-12 schools and universities must find smarter ways to meet the challenges of tomorrow,” says William Payne, AIA, CEO of Fanning Howey. “Tim’s constant focus on innovation makes him the perfect person to lead our engineering team in the pursuit of new and better solutions for our clients.”
With 29 years of experience, Tim has been involved in the design of hundreds of K-12 school and higher education projects. His recent project experience includes the award-winning Tri Star Career Compact in Celina, Ohio, the new Columbia City High School in Columbia City, Ind. and the renovation of Bryce & Ott Halls for Indiana University-Purdue University-Indianapolis.
“Tim practices a truly integrated approach to design,” says Steve Wilczynski, AIA, executive director of Fanning Howey’s Ohio offices. “His leadership will deepen collaboration between Fanning Howey’s architects, interior designers and engineers.”
Tim received a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Technology from the University of Toledo. He is a registered engineer in seven states and a graduate of the ACEC Ohio Rising Leaders program.
