Fanning Howey Hires Salvatore Moschelli to Grow Michigan Practice
By Zachary SprungerFerndale, Michigan, April 11, 2023 – Fanning Howey, an architecture, interiors and engineering firm specializing in learning environments, has hired Salvatore Moschelli, AIA, NCARB, NOMA, to lead the firm’s design efforts in Michigan. As a Project Executive, he will oversee the planning and design of K-12 and Higher Education projects and will be responsible for managing a high-performing team of talented local designers.
An award-winning architect with 25 years of leadership and design experience, Moschelli has designed learning environment projects for public school, private school and higher education clients throughout Michigan. His extensive portfolio includes 2020 Bond Improvements for Birmingham Public Schools, the George and Mary Turek Hall of Science for Detroit Catholic Central and the Munger Graduate Residences for the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor. He is the recipient of the 2017 AIA Detroit Young Architect Award and an active member of the National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA).

Moschelli’s leadership will strengthen Fanning Howey’s presence in southeastern Michigan and provide clients with a deeply-rooted local team with a national reach and influence.
Moschelli graduated with a Masters of Architecture from Lawrence Technological University. He is a registered architect and member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). He is also a LEED Accredited Professional.
