Marketing Manager
Fanning Howey creates learning environments throughout the country with our team of architects, engineers, interior designers, and landscape architects. The Corporate Marketing team supports this mission through branding, communications, go-to-market strategies, media relations, social media, and graphic design.
We are seeking a creative and strategic Marketing Manager to join our Michigan offices as we embark on an ambitious plan for future growth. This role requires the ability to think strategically while executing tactically. The ideal candidate understands our clients, projects, and competitors and can translate that knowledge into marketing strategies that strengthen the Fanning Howey brand and position us to win work.
As a member of the Corporate Marketing team, you will play a key role in managing and supporting business development and marketing efforts across the firm. This includes proposal development, pursuit strategy, client events, marketing campaigns, project photography, and interview materials

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Create and execute marketing plans that support business development growth and market expansion
- Support firm leaders and Project Executives in developing pursuit and interview strategies
- Prepare written statements of qualifications, proposals, RFQs/RFPs, and interview materials
- Lead and support interview preparation sessions
- Participate in bi-monthly Marketing/BD meetings and prepare related reports
- Ensure marketing and BD data is entered and maintained in Deltek Vantagepoint
- Manage marketing activities for conferences and events, including logistics and messaging
- Develop and execute a yearly project photography plan in coordination with project teams
- Provide communications support through earned media, social media, email campaigns, and advertising
EDUCATION & BACKGROUND
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, PR, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
(Other degrees considered with demonstrated organizational and sales-support experience) - Interest or experience in professional services
- Experience in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction preferred but not required
- Proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
