Fanning Howey Welcomes Technology Designer Cassie Damer to Michigan Team
By Zachary Sprunger
Ferndale, Michigan, August 20, 2025 – Fanning Howey, an architecture, interiors, and engineering firm specializing in learning environments, is proud to announce the addition of Cassie Damer as Educational Technology Designer in the firm’s Ferndale, Michigan, office. She brings more than 20 years of experience helping educational institutions across the state improve learning through the strategic use of technology.
Damer is passionate about integrating technology at the very beginning of the design process—a philosophy that aligns perfectly with Fanning Howey’s integrated design services. Her expertise spans school security systems, technology for STEM learning environments, and audiovisual systems for events and athletic spaces.
Her portfolio includes high-profile projects such as the football stadium for Cranbrook Schools and Stevenson High School’s Manufacturing Automation and Design Engineering program for Utica Community Schools. She also served as the lead designer for $32 million in technology improvements at Chippewa Valley Schools.
“Technology is integral to the way modern education is delivered and continuously evolves,” said Salvatore Moschelli, AIA, NOMA, a Project Executive with Fanning Howey. “Cassie’s expertise expands our services and strengthens our ability to offer a truly comprehensive approach to helping our clients transform education. Her hands-on investment in service of the long-term, technology-driven educational goals of our clients enables us to build valued relationships beyond the bricks and mortar.”
By joining Fanning Howey, Damer will work closely with school districts to ensure that technology is seamlessly integrated into facilities, enhancing safety, collaboration, and the overall learning experience.
